Fell In Love With Chicago!
We really hadn't expected to fall in love with Chicago but we did . . . and didn't want to leave today. We were going to pass up going into the city but got a referral from a friend to go in and take the SeaDog boat tour of the city and find Lou Malnati's for Pizza. We did just that and found so much more. Mike Hall our tour guide on the SeaDog was excellent! Honestly he was really great . . . we learned so much about the city and he entertained us the entire time. I think he could have been a stand up comic because he really was funny and his timing was spot on. I liked the way he kept things light but continued to teach us about the city. We're not sure if his name is Mike Hall or Michael with a little pause in the middle . . . If you're in Chicago make sure you go on the SeaDog boat tour from Navy Pier and make sure Mike's your tour guide. We haven't made many referals in this blog but this one is a must!
After the Boat tour we went to Lou Malnati's for Pizza because Dave & Donna Johnson insisted that it was the best pizza in the world . . . Oh were they right! We were instructed to order the sausage pizza with the butter crust. It didn't sound good to me . . . and I don't eat sausage. But when in Rome ~ so we ordered the pizza and it truly was amazing, I've never had a better pizza. So all that bragging that the people from Chicago do about their pizza is all because they actually do have the best pizza.
Cole wanted to see the large sliver bean, so we walked around the city until we found the big silver bean.
