Lunch with Stacey
We left New York with a little help with directions from Mike, Diana, Andy, Mike's map program, and the faulty GPS that insisted we go over the Throgs Neck Bridge . . . but the natives informed us that the Throgs Neck Bridge was closed because apparently it caught on fire last week?? Unaware that bridges can actually catch on fire . . . didn't think they were still made of wood? But who am I to question . . . getting out of Long Island is about as easy as getting into Long Island. The Southern State Long Island Expressway Merrit Parkway going North . . . it's all too difficult for me and impossible for my overworked GPS who has developed a whole new vocabulary including "I QUIT" and she uses that one quite often.
We made it to Connecticut and did a pop in at Marcotte's . . . so convenient to drop by friends houses when it's time to eat.
Stacey made the greatest taco salad for us and Cole, Jacquelyn & Chris ate tacos . . . I think Chris had 25 tacos . . . or was it 24? Plus Chris played the guitar and gave us a mini concert, after a teaspoon of cinnamon.
Thanks Stacey and Chris we had fun. Missed you George and Nicolette. xoxox
Wish we had a photo of Miller . . . sorry we didn't take one.
Is anyone proof reading my blogs for me? Johnny or Althea? send my typo's to my e-mail.
